Fun and exciting opportunities

I have enjoyed telling everyone about a lot of new and exciting websites and look forward to guiding you to more as the days go by.

Download audio books with MOLDI

I have a great new experience to tell you about. Have you tried to listen to a audiobook on your pc, Ipod or MP3 player? It is very easy and free to log onto the MOLDI website (as long as you have a library card). I would highly recommend this website. It's called The Mid-Ohio Library Digital Initiative(http://digitalbooks.moldi.org). Also this title: Knit Together, by Debbie Macomber
and to find out more details about this title, simply click on the link below or copy and paste it into your browser. http://digitalbooks.moldi.org/ContentDetails.htm?ID=3E7A91EE-5A02-495A-9171-0EF3F6228DFA
I'm sure you will enjoy this new experience.

Youtube Quilt Instructions

YouTube has numerous quilting instructional shows. Click below for an introduction to a Quilt Block of the Month series that I have found useful.

Web 2.0 Tool Box : The best tool in the "Box"

I have found a great tool for avid library users. Go to: http://www.columbuslibrary.org/ebranch/index.cfm?pageid=209
Try out these "power tools" and add the search engine to your internet for easy access. Then add a great link called "Stumbleupon" to your quick links for an easier path to great websites that you enjoy or can share with a click of a button. So try: http://www.stumbleupon.com/search?q=quilting Have fun experiencing new sites. I know I did.

Web 2.0 Award Winners

These websites are the "cream of the crop" sites to visit. Several of the sites I found I had already visited and a few I thought would be on the list were not. A new site to me, although I had heard others comment on it, was "Craigslist." What a great use of the Web. Especially the "free" part of the site during these hard economic times. I found this site to be well organized and easy to navigate. Check it out for some great "used" items.

Google.Docs is amazing

What a great way to share and edit documents without worry over whose version is the latest and best. It is all one version! Yeah! I have created a new flyer for our current fundraiser and have asked for help and this system will make my life a whole lot easier. The e-mail invites with links are fabulous. To assist me see the following link: http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dfd8kdxt_0cc759cgm&invite=gdmq69p
Thanks Google.
